Thomas Edison bought Glenmont, a 29-room house in Llewellyn Park, in 1886 as a wedding present for his second wife, Mina.
His laboratory complex in West Orange was a short drive away, but he kept a library and a 'thinking room' at home, and the family lived here until his death in 1931.
Mina stayed until 1947. The house and lab are now Thomas Edison National Historical Park.
