Frank Sinatra commissioned Twin Palms in 1947 from architect E. Stewart Williams, one of the first modern houses in Palm Springs' Movie Colony.

The pool is famously shaped like a grand piano. According to local legend, a flag on the flagpole between the two palms signaled cocktail hour.

Sinatra lived there with Ava Gardner in the early 1950s. The house is now a private rental.
