Architect Albert Frey built his second Palm Springs home on the side of Mount San Jacinto in 1964, with a huge boulder rising right into the living space.
The house is tiny — about 800 square feet — with a corrugated roof and walls of glass looking over the city.
Frey lived there until his death in 1998 and left the house to the Palm Springs Art Museum.
