Architect Rudolph Schindler built this house in 1922 for his family and friends Clyde and Marian Chace, with shared kitchen and studios instead of traditional bedrooms.
The couples slept in open-air 'sleeping baskets' on the roof. It became a salon for artists and radicals in 1920s Los Angeles.
It is now the MAK Center for Art and Architecture.
