Ryman Auditorium

Known as the 'Mother Church of Country Music,' this historic venue has hosted countless legendary performances across genres.

Nashville, TN 37219

The Union Gospel Tabernacle opened in 1892. Under manager Lula Naff, the venue became home to the Grand Ole Opry in 1943. The Opry stayed until 1974, giving the old tabernacle nearly thirty-one years at the center of country music broadcasting. The Ryman’s official history records this transformation from a religious gathering place into a stage for entertainment. Source: https://www.ryman.com/about/history
