The Brontë family moved to the Haworth parsonage in 1820. Charlotte, Emily and Anne wrote their novels here, walking around the dining table at night reading drafts aloud.

Jane Eyre, Wuthering Heights and Agnes Grey were all published in 1847.

The house has been a museum run by the Brontë Society since 1928.
